Myco Ultra – Scam Supplement or Does It Work?

Is Myco Ultra really as good as people are saying it is? Or is this just another scam supplement that is going to be a waste of your money?

In this review I'll be going over what you need to know before buying this. I'm glad you took the time to do a little extra research. I'll be going over what exactly this supplement is, the ingredients, whether or not there is any proof that it actually works, what other people are saying about it, complaints and more.

They claim it is the "#1 immunity mushroom supplement" on the market, but of course who knows how true a statement like this actually is. Personally I don't believe this statement because this supplement isn't even all that popular.

But anyways... Myco Ultra is claimed to…

  • Boost your immune system
  • Have life span extending properties
  • Have ingredients backed by clinical studies

The main focus of this supplement is to improve your immune health.

This is important because the immune system is your body's defense against invaders.... invaders like bacteria, viruses, parasites, fungus and anything that can potentially make you sick.

Many people live a lower level of life for years due to infections they don't even know they have.

Our immune systems are working around the clock, day and night, to keep us healthy and it is important for us to help them do their jobs, which you can do by eating healthy and staying fit.

So basically Myco Ultra is supposed to keep you feeling healthy and good, and they claim that people taking it have experienced increased energy and just an overall better feeling throughout the day.

But this is just what they tell you, and as you probably know you can't always trust what you hear from supplement companies. After all, they are trying to sell their supplements so of course they're going to mostly just talk about all the good things.

Does it REALLY work? Let's find out…

Myco Ultra Review

  • Name: Myco Ultra
  • Type: Immune support supplement
  • Ingredients: Mushroom blend
  • Price: Varies depending on amount purchased
  • Legit?: Yes

Myco Ultra is an immune boosting supplement that consists of 8 different ingredients, all of which are mushrooms.

Now when most people think of giving their immune system a boost, they usually don't think of mushrooms. They usually think of maybe eating a few extra oranges to get more vitamin C or something along those lines. That said, there is actually quite a bit of scientific evidence showing that certain mushrooms can be effective at giving your immune system the boost it might need.

In the Western world this isn't all that well known, but consuming mushrooms as a traditional Chinese medicine has been around for thousands of years.

To be completely honest, when I first came across this supplement I was thinking it was probably going to be another over-hyped scam, but I actually think it could actually be pretty good for some people with weakened immune systems.

The 8 Ingredients

You can take a look at the label for Myco Ultra here...

Myco Ultra Label

Now I don't know if you can read that, and if you can't it is okay. I will go over each ingredient.

With each capsule that you take you get a 700 mg blend of the following 8 mushrooms…

  • Reishi
    • This has been shown to affect the genes of white blood cells,  which play a huge role in our immune system. They are what devour invaders that enter our bodies.
    • Some research, such as as study published in Immunological Investigations, has shown that reishi can increase levels of Natural Killer white blood cells, which is good.
  • Maitake
  • Agaricus blazei
    • This mushroom is native to Brazil but is even used in as far as Japan for medicinal purposes.
    • It has been shown to have medicinal effects on tumors, infections, allergies and inflammation in a 2011 study.
  • Cordyceps sinensis P.E.
    • This may sound gross, but Cordyceps is actually a fungus/mushroom that lives on caterpillars in the high mountains of China... However, most supplements grow this in laboratories.
    • According to WebMD, it "might" stimulate cells and chemicals that can boost the immune system, although there is no hard evidence of such.
  • Lion's mane extract
    • There are many benefits of supplementing Lion's Mane, such as less stress and anxiety, reduced risk of heart disease, helps with diabetes, and even improved immunity against diseases as deadly as cancer.
    • This 2011 study from Food & Function found that Lion's mane can increase the death rate of cancer cells, in particular leukemia cancer cells.
  • Pleurotus eryngii (King Trumpet)
    • This mushroom is native to the Mediterranean area, but is also cultivated in other parts of the world. An amino acid that it has named ergothioneine is what is responsible for much of its antioxidant activity, which helps keep disease away.
    • This also has what are called statins, which are compounds that help fight off diseases.
  • Antrodia camphorate
    • Antrodia camphorate, or AC for short, is a fungus that is native to Taiwan and grows inside the trunk of a tree.  Use of this for medicinal purposes dates back many years.
    • It has been shown to inhibit cancer cell proliferation, provides a good source of antioxidants that can protect against aging and more.
  • Turkey tail mushroom powder
    • This immune boosting mushroom has lots of antioxidants and contains polysaccharopeptides, which can really help give your immune system a boost.
    • Has been shown to possibly improve immune response against cancer cells.

Mushrooms like these are a great source of beta-glucans, which have been shown to boost the immune system and help fight off diseases and illness in many studies.

Any Side Effects?

They state that there are no side effects that have been observed.

Now of course there are probably some potential side effects, because it seems like there is always at least someone that has a negative reaction to just about anything, but generally speaking there are not any that you have to worry about.

I don't know the amounts of each ingredient but there can't be that much because the entire mix is only 750mg.

This is one of the big upsides to taking a natural health supplement such as this… No side effects.

The Cost

Try not to jump out of your seat, because the price is a bit high.

You can purchase one bottle for $60, two bottles for $109.95, or 4 bottles for $173.

Now of course the 4 bottle deal is the best, because you get the most for your money's worth, but that is also a good chunk of money to spend all at once.

price

When I first saw the price I thought it was pretty darn high, but after looking around at other similar products, such as those on Amazon, I found that it really isn't too bad.

Slightly Cheaper Alternative:

However, if you do want a slightly cheaper alternative then another good choice is Host Defense on Amazon. It has most of the same ingredients plus some, and sells for around $50 for a 30 day supply.

What I Like/ Don't Like

What I Like

  • Variety of different mushrooms in the mix which can help boost your immune system from different angles
  • Good amount of science to back up the claims that it works
  • Doesn't give you bad breath like other mushroom supplements (so they say)

What I Don't Like

  • A bit pricey (but it seems like other alternatives are as well)
  • The advertising for this supplement is a bit over-the-top (like how they say Big Pharma is trying to cover up the truth)

What Users Are Saying About It

Unfortunately I wasn't able to find much in the way of reviews for Myco Ultra from people who have actually used it, however I was able to find quite a bit of good reviews from similar supplements out there.

Mushroom blends like this seem to be pretty good at giving your immune system a little natural boost. In fact, I'm thinking about buying some to keep on hand when I feel sickness coming on.

Final Verdict - Scam or Not?

As I mentioned earlier, when I first came across this supplement I thought it was just going to be another over-priced scam. However, I was pleasantly surprised after looking into it further.

This is not a scam as far as I see and very well could help give your immune system the boost you have been looking for.

Will it work for everyone? No. But could it work for you? Yes.

Anyways... I hope you enjoyed my review and found it helpful. Please leave any comments or questions down below and I'll get back to you as soon as I can 🙂

  1. I am still not sure I understand how you came to the conclusion that its not a scam
There is science to back up the shrooms. How can you know that’s what’s in the capsule. Just wondering!!

    • Regena, that is exactly what I was looking for, a more scientific review of the benefits of this product. The review seems to be repeating what the manufactures of this item is saying. I have been taking this product for almost a month, not only have I seen any benefit but I have come down with one of the worst colds of my life. Where is its immune strengthening benefit? I think this is all a hype.

    • The proof is in the pudding. I’ve been on this amazing product for my chronic bronchitis for several months, and it has helped me beyond all my expectations.. I read that some well known well companies gave this product a thumbs-up. Whatever issues you may be having, give this a try and see if it helps. It has helped me and that’s all I need to know.

I just researched this mushroom blend, and I’m so thankful!!! And Yes Kyle, Big Pharma is from the dark side(don’t be fooled)
I suffer from endometriosis and always battling. My children all have low immune systems (even though all breast fed) and we eat organic. America has poisoned its people and it’s soils. It’s very very sad to see how corrupt America has become. The truth IS NOT being told to the people. Example~Tylenol(acetaminophen) is pure poison to our bodies…proven… yet Big Pharma has it still on the shelves and Drs tell you to take it..and give it to your babies too!,, THAT’S PURE EVIL! Land of the free has us all captive with sickness for a profit.SAD SAD SAD

  8. As a person who has side effects from even taking ginkgo biloba, I am just curious/ worried about consuming “ mushrooms “ and if any possible mind alteration side effects? I do do suffer from anxiety/ panic disorder. Lately I have been experiencing excessive tension, aches/ pains, inflammation all throughout my body. This looks like it could possibly rebalance all the excess stress hormones flooding my system which i’m Guessing is causing all my symptoms, especially with the inflammation?

  11. I have been using Myco Untra for about 5 months or so. I have chronic bronchitis and I am on
immunosuppressant drugs for a kidney transplant since 2010. I started suffering from this condition and my doctor wanted to put me on antibiotics for possibly 1 to 2 years. I thought that would wreak havoc on my body. Then I found Mico Ultra and decided to try it. It helped me a great deal along with some daily breathing exercises. I feel I am getting better and better as time goes on. My wheezing has improved tremendously. I have more energy and my overall health has also improved. I would recommend everyone to at least try it. The company gives you an option to return the product if you so choose. I purchase two bottles each time I reorder. This gives me a 4 months supply. I pay $123, which includes shipping. I am definitely a satisfied customer. Thank You Myco Ultra…..Dolores Colonese

  12. I’ve been on this product for several months, mostly for my chronic bronchitis. There has been a huge improvement in my life and I’m getting better as time goes on. Wheezing has been a problem for me and it was very annoying. I refused to go on any inhalers as they are riddles with side affects. When I found Myco Ultra, I thought to give it a try, and I’m thrilled that I did. Even my doctor approved it for me to take. He said he was familiar with it and okayed it I don’t know if this product will help everyone with their issues, but it’s helping me and that’s good enough for me. Give it a try and see if it will help you. Good luck.

    • At the age of 5, my grandson contracted ringworm from his friend’s cat. My grandson in turn gave the fungus to one of our horses. We treated the children with Lotrimin, which contains Clotrimazole, as the active ingredient. The children cleared up quickly. The horse took a little longer because she required a spray-on liquid medication in order to penetrate her coat. Lotrimin and several other anti-fungal treatments are very reasonably priced at Walmart. The spray on liquid is available through equine catalogs. I really don’t think mushrooms will be helpful in eradicating ringworm.

  19. Thanks for a great balanced and fair candid review of this product. I read yours simply out of curiosity, figuring you were going to bash the product. But, of course, you weaved in great factual info about the mushrooms themselves. So, for your ref, here is my review: I have been taking this product daily for about 3 months now. I became interested in the product, not so much for it’s claim on it’s immunity boosting power, but because of its claim to lower blood sugar. I am a non-insulin dependent, or metformin user. I was diagnosed with my Type II in 2008 and have managed to keep my blood sugar A1c @ 7% or less. It’s hard for me to distinguish if I feel better on this supplement as I take a LOT of different supplements and foods to combat the Type II. I will say that my overall health is great and I have been illness free in regards to bacterial, or viral bugs (at least for this year) so far. It’s my opinion at this juncture this could be due to my taking of the Myco Ultra. I found your article by accident as I was considering buying more (yep, I did buy the 4 bottle set…), but thought I’d ‘educate myself’ further about it. Your article and information gives me confidence that I can continue to experience health benefits, be it immunity boosting or blood sugar benefits from taking Myco Ultra.

As far as I know, the smoking has nothing to do with the liver cancer. Since they no longer care, I have taken to doing the research myself. I know this won't cure me, but if it could help, I would be happy. Thanks for the in-depth review, Kyle.

  23. I have cancer (DLBCL) and my first aggressive round of Chemo failed to rid my body of the cancer. They want me to get a 2nd run of a less aggressive Chemo to help lengthen my life because they did give me a time to live number. Getting the 2nd round of Chemo feels like I have stopped fighting my cancer. With my seizure history, age, heart and other issues I am not being given a chance to be a participant in any research testing programs. Not being given that chance to fight and hope to overcome.

With my 2nd round of Chemo I have a very good situation to also research Beta Glucans. The hope that Beta Glucans can cure my DLBCL would be a hope for me until proven correct, incorrect or meaningless. The answer good or bad will help many. My just getting Chemo to die seems to be wasting a lot of blood readings and PET scans.

Beta Glucans side effects with my present medications and Chemo medications is a big question. Has anyone had any experience taking Beta Glucans while on a Chemo treatment?

I just came across this website and I want to thank you for the time you're taking to research these products that are popping up everywhere online and I tend to get excited and think they would be put out of business if they were deceiving us. LOL. I recently purchased GOLI VINEGAR GUMMIES and then the ASHWAGANDA GUMMY AND REORDED TO COME ACROSS AN ARTICLE THAT SAYS THERE IS NO SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE OF TRUTH TO THEIR CLAIMS ABOUT THEM. SO DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THEM?

  25. In addressing price, you overlook the fact that the Myco Ultra is actually a 2- month supply, as each bottle contains 60 capsules with directions to take 1 per day. Buying the 4-bottle offer reduces the cost to less than $23 per month. I am a user for about 9 months. I'm not sure how anyone evaluates the effectiveness, but I've had no illness in that period in spite of Covid, etc. However, I do take another Beta-glucan supplement and have for over 13 years. I am 80 years old and have no concerns about Covid, flu, or any other viruses as I have had none of these in spite of not taking flu shots. Neither do I anticipate taking the "vaccine." My immune system is very healthy and, in my opinion, quite capable of fighting off the effects of these viruses as well as a vaccine can. If I'm wrong, maybe I'll see you in the next life.

  26. Hi Agent Kyle. My mother will turn 92 (God Willing) on August 8, 2021. She has been a fighter all of her life, She was the care giver and only bread winner for her disabled husband and her 4 children. She fell a few weeks ago, went in for x-rays and was diagnosed with a hip fracture, a bladder infection, and stage 4 cancer which started from her lungs and has spread to her liver and pelvis bone, I know we are all going to die but she has worked hard and taken care of everyone else all of her life. Is this Myco Ultra something that might work to help her die from old age instead of painful cancer and if not do you know of anything out there that is legit and could help her?

  29. A friend told me about Myco Ultra. He said he was diagnosed with Stage 4 prostrate cancer. He refused chemo and radiation and found this as an alternative. He has been in remission for several years. I found this fascinating since I have suffered with rheumatoid arthritis and weakened immune system for 32 years. I took the injection Humara for three years and my quality of life improved. Then I got non-hodgkins lymphoma. I went through chemo and radiation which both ripped me apart top to bottom. Since then I gradually went off all meds for my RA and replaced them with over-the-counter supplements. For the past three years I have not experienced the pain and swollen joints. However, I am tired to taking so many pills. I am going to order 4 bottles of Myco Ultra in hopes that it will help me improve my immune system and possibly cut down on my other supplements. I did read that "if you only took one supplement, let it be this". I am 75 and wish I had done my research 32 years ago so I could have improved my quality of life naturally.

  30. I called them before buying. Since I don't do well with any mushrooms, I was hesitant to spend so much for something I might not be able to take. She explained that they only use the medicinal part of the mushrooms and many times, using the whole mushroom is why
some have trouble with mushrooms. So I bought my first bottle and it is almost gone. So far, there have been no negative reactions to it. As far as it helping me at this point, is hard to say but as it has already been said, mushrooms do help certain health conditions. It takes time to improve certain illnesses and the fact that what I was told has proven to be true, I am trusting it is helping to battle my illness as well. I take it just before I go to bed in case I have a negative reaction. After a month and a half, so far so good. I will keep taking it because my illness is terminable and if it keeps me going, along with other proven supplements, then I will be happy with it.
