Zija Moringa Side Effects – What To Know

June 20, 2018

Zija Moringa Side EffectsI have been seeing a lot of talk about the Zija Moringa side effects and it can be difficult to determine what you should believe in what you shouldn’t believe. Should you believe the people that are saying this is the greatest stuff ever or should you believe the people claiming that it causes adverse side effects that will have you throwing it in the trash after a couple of days?

This is an important question that needs an answer, but unfortunately the answer is more difficult than it may seem.

But before I get into all of that, it is important to know that the moringa in Zija Moringa products is just plain old moringa, just like all the other moringa’s out there. In fact I would actually go further to say that the moringa Zija puts in their products is of higher quality than most. They do a great job of sourcing their moringa and ensuring the highest quality from every part of the process, growing, harvesting, drying, etc. They talk about this on the official Zija website.

However, as you probably already know, Zija products have much more than just moringa. Moringa is the “core” of their product line, but they have many different products that have many different purposes, and include many different ingredients.

I will get into all of this in a second, but let’s first talk about the side effects of moringa itself, which is what Zija is based around.

Moringa Side Effects

Moringa it is generally considered a very safe supplement. It has been taken for all kinds of health reasons dating back thousands of years so it is definitely not some new fad with a bunch of undiscovered side effects.

WebMD states that moringa is safe when consumed in appropriate dosages but warns people not to eat the roots, which contains a toxin you don’t want. However, this is irrelevant here because Zija does not use moringa rate in any of their products, they only use the leaves, seedpods and fruit as far as I know.

It’s All About Dosing

But of course any supplement can be dangerous if you do not dose it properly. It is all about moderation. Even the most harmless substances on earth, such as good old water, can be deadly if not consumed in moderation. So yes, moringa can be harmful if overly consumed, as I mentioned in an earlier post I wrote.

That said, standard moringa doses are completely fine and will not cause any damage to the body. However, if you start taking 3-4 times the recommended dose, that is another story. That then has the potential to be harmful.

According to examine.com, taking doses of 3x or even 4x the standard doses can cause genotoxic damage and organ damage at higher levels. However, there is no way you’re going to be taken even close to 3-4 times the recommended doses if you are taking Zija products as recommended.

WebMD states that studies have shown humans can take up to 6g/day for up to 3 weeks without adverse health effects. If you look in any of the different Zija products you will not find anything even close to this amount. So the moringa contained in their various products is nothing that you should worry about, although it is always best to consult a doctor before trying anything you haven’t tried before.

Other Ingredients That May Be Harmful

As I said, Zija’s products contain much more than just moringa. They have products that contain all sorts of different extracts from plants you probably never have heard of before. And of course… Many of their products have what you call “proprietary blends”.

Proprietary blends are blends of ingredients where they don’t tell you how much of each ingredient is actually in the product. But they do list all the ingredients that are in it, which is nice. They just don’t say how much of each.

Since there are quite a few people complaining about experiencing negative side effects after consuming these products I would advise looking over the ingredients before consuming anything.

Complaints From Customers

You can find quite a few complaints by searching around online. This blogspot happens to be a great source of reviews left by users. On it I found users claiming to have experienced everything from nausea, stomach ache, dizziness, rashes, fatigue, vommitting, diarrhea, and more.

Most of the people experiencing these negative side effects seem to have taken Zija products are focused on weight loss, which are known to be potentially dangerous. Many of these products contain stimulants and this is likely the source of many of the problems.

Final Thoughts

There are people that have had bad reactions to ZIja moringa products, and these side effects should not be dismissed, however, it is important to realize that with every single supplement out there some people will be like this.

If you look up side effects of drinking coffee you will find a long list of side effects, including some that are deadly. But do we consider coffee to be harmful or even a scam? Absolutely not. Generally speaking, coffee is very healthy.

Overall I don’t really see a problem with the Zija moringa products. They are good quality and one thing that I really like about them is that they are natural, without any harsh chemicals that were whipped up in a laboratory.

The Worst Untold Side Effect

The major side effect that I should be placing the most emphasis on is that of a drained bank account. What the heck am I talking about here? I am talking about the overinflated prices of the Zija products and how a smaller bank account might be the worst side effect of it all.

I don’t think anyone can really argue against me when I say that Zija moringa products are overpriced. This has to do with their MLM business model and all of the distributors running around trying to sell products in recruit other distributors in. This is common with MLM businesses because they try to lure in new distributors with the dreams of earning large commissions, so they jacked up the prices of their products.

That said, if you are going to buy moringa Zija is a great place to shop if you are looking for quality, but certainly not if you’re looking for a good price. If you are looking for both a good price and top-quality moringa then I would check out my recommendation below…
